Find Your Laughing Place! FAQs
Who should attend this retreat?
A Disney Monastic is anyone who wants to create intentional community at the Walt Disney World Resort. All monastics are expected to participate in all programmed activities.
I have never been to Walt Disney WOrld. Should I attend this retreat?
This retreat will be made up of intentional reflection time in the four theme parks of Walt Disney World. If you are the type of person who wants to go to Walt Disney World and see everything the resort has to offer, this may not be the retreat for you. During our 3 programmed days in Epcot, The Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom, we will spend 6 hours each day in the parks. This will be enough time to ride and reflect on 2 assigned rides and allow time to possibly ride 3 more. You will have 2 free days when you may choose to enter the parks and ride as much as possible.
Is this a retreat for children?
The initial retreat is designed for monastics 15 and older. Anyone 21 or under is expected to attend with their parent or legal guardian. It is our hope to add children's programming at retreats in the near future.
Can I attend only part of the retreat?
It would be wonderful to have you but you must register and attend the entire retreat! We are creating a monastic community so commitment to the entire retreat and all of the retreat's programming is part of the community rule.
