St. Simeon Day School

When I served as Chaplain to St. Chrysostom's Day School, I was blessed with the opportunity to work with founding headmistress Ms. Mary Ellen Christy in nurturing our partnership with St. Simeon School in Croix des Bouquets, Haiti.

 

St. Chrysostom's Day School has an ongoing partnership with St. Simeon School in Croix des Bouquets Haiti. As the Chaplain to the Day School, I worked with Ms. Mary Ellen Christy, Day School Founding Headmistriss, on building upon this mutual ministry.

 

This relationship was established in cooperation with the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti Partnership Program which allows the relationship to flourish in confidence, trust, transparency and accountability with only a 10% service charge to administer the funds.

 

All offerings from our Children’s Chapel Services and all proceeds from the sale of St. Chrysostom’s “gear” went directly to our partner school in Haiti. We also hosted an annual benefit dinner which further supported this partnership. Pere Val (retired), the former supervising priest from St. Simeon Congregation and School, made several visits to St. Chrysostom's.
